    Life is an ascent

Life is an ascent, and that is why you feel so hard. You are making progress and challenging yourself.

Yesterday I attended the Mardi Gras volunteer orientation session. Most of the participants were gays and lesbians. Actually after I had participated in the 2010 Mardi Gras Parade in Sydney, I changed the understanding towards homosexuality. They are really normal people. They are smart, diligent and hardworking. They know what they really want. They understand the commitment for love, responsibility and the communities. In my group of workshop, an old gay impressed me. From my point of view, I wanna be the volunteer just for fun and the best view for the parade. However, for him, it is a REALLY important chance to advocate their roles.

They require respects from us. They advocate the legal homosexual marriage rather than just commitment. They need the attention to their community. They are respresenting the international gays and lesbians in Sydney Mardi Gras, the greatest homosexuality parade all over the world.

Our trainer is disabled. Both of his arms are cut. It is hard for you to imagine that a person without arms encouraged us to treasure life and seize any chances of training. If you have lost the whole arm, I mean, the whole arm from the shoulder, what would you do and where would you be? Would you fight for yourself, or even for others?

These guys know what they are fighting for. They understand the value of living and the rights for themselves. They are so devoted into what they truly love. In comparison, thousands of straight people are wasting time. They do not know why they are living, while laughing at the homosexual people. They should be ashamed of themselves if they have discovered the spirits of the 'strange' group.

Life is not easy. However, life is not hard enough for such 'normal' people as you and me. We are straight, healthy and young. We are living under the mainstream value. Think about who you are and what you want. Whenever it is, never give up.
